one-anotherA reminder for the week:

Serve One Another

Many times in life there will be times when we don’t want to serve one another. But love, sacrifices and serves at all times. The Bible reminds us that “God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners (Romans 5:8).”  So, to paraphrase: While there were many reasons for Jesus to not serve us, He served us anyway! While it can be challenging to serve others, God often uses our service to speak to others–and we often learn something or grow spiritually in the process. So, while we have a lot of freedom because of our relationship with God thru Jesus, let us use that freedom to serve one another. As we read in Galations 5:13, NLT, “For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love.”

What are the “One Anothers”?
Many times in the New Testament we are called to do something either to/with “one another” or “each other”. These are meant to be done as a community, with our friends, spouses, children, etc. – and often even with those who irritate or anger us. Frankly, it can be challenging at times because there are times we simply don’t feel like doing them. Despite our humanity which is marred by sin and often makes us want to do something different than we know we should, remember to practice the one anothers.

So, Let us SERVE ONE ANOTHER this week!
