We’re excited to once again partner with the Town of Wyoming to host a fun-filled Egg Hunt for kids at Wyoming Park—happening this Saturday! It’s always a great time for families in our community.

The egg hunt will start promptly at 11:00 AM, so it’s best to arrive by 10:30 to be ready. If you’d like to help serve, please plan to arrive by 9:30 AM.

You can be part of it by bringing friends with kids or by jumping in to help—we’d love to have you involved!

Let’s come together and make this a fun and memorable day for our community!

Join us on Sunday, March 29 for a potluck meal and fellowship right after our regular worship gathering! It’s a great opportunity to slow down, share a meal, and spend time together as a church family.

What’s “5th Sunday Fellowship”?
Whenever a month has five Sundays, we use it as an opportunity to gather around the table. Community is a big part of who we are at Deep Water—we don’t just serve together, we grow together. These meals are a simple way to build relationships and enjoy life together.

As part of our annual meeting process, we are accepting nominations for a board position.

In preparation for our upcoming annual meeting (March 22), we’re offering an opportunity to become a member before the meeting. At Deep Water, we value everyone’s involvement and treat every person with love and respect—whether they’re officially a member or not. Membership is for those who want to formalize their commitment to Deep Water and have a voice in important decisions, especially legal matters.

We’ll be offering a two-week Membership Class on Sunday, February 1 and Sunday, February 15, after our worship gathering. These short classes will explain what membership means and what commitment looks like at Deep Water. After the classes, there will be an opportunity (but no obligation) to apply for membership.

Join us for National Night Out with the Wyoming Police Department on Tuesday, August 19 from 6–8 PM at Wyoming Park—just a few blocks from our church building! Wyoming celebrates a little later than most towns because of the Peach Festival, and it’s always a fun evening for families and friends. If you have kids, bring them along and invite a neighbor to join you.

We’ll be helping with face painting and balloon animals, and we’d love for you to be part of the fun! We’ll teach you everything you need to know. We’ll show you some simple, crowd-pleasing balloon creations on the spot (and a few advanced ones if you’re feeling adventurous).

National Night Out with the Wyoming Police Department (Wyoming does it a little later than some others due to the Peach Festival.) is coming up on Tuesday, August 19 from 6 – 8 pm. If you have kids, it’s a fun evening at Wyoming Park (a few blocks away from our building). Come out and bring a friend!

If you want to help with face painting and balloon animals, we will teach you how and give you some time to practice on Sunday, August 10 after our 10:00 am worship gathering. If you can’t make it to the practice and want to help, we will gladly teach you a few popular yet simple balloon items that can be learned easily–and we have some more complex things for those who want to learn..

A few of the men are coming together to work on some projects. Help us tackle some small projects around the building on Saturday, August 30. Whether you can paint, lend a hand or are interested in learning a new skill, we would love some help. Let’s work together to care for the space God’s given us!

Men’s Conference
Some of the men are planning a one day trip to a Men’s Conference in Maryland on October 18. We will carpool. Save the date if you’re interested.

Community is a big part of who we are at Deep Water. We serve the community––and we’re in community together as we grow in our faith. Every time a month has 5 Sundays instead of the typical 4, we have a potluck fellowship meal and call it 5th Sunday Fellowship. EASTER EGG HUNT IN WYOMING
Sunday, April 13 at 2:00 pm
Location: Wyoming Park (322 W. 3rd St, Wyoming, DE 19934)
We work with the Town of Wyoming and the Wyoming Police Department for this event every year. Children 12 and under will be divided by ages. There will be hunts for four age groups: 0-2, 3-5, 6-8, and 9-12. Be sure to get there on time and bring a friend! Hunts for all ages will begin at 2:00 pm!

SUNRISE CELEBRATION ON EASTER MORNING
Sunday, April 20 at 6:00 am. We will start to gather at 6:00 and have a brief message as the sun rises at 6:17 am.
Location: Port Mahon  (1097 Port Mahon Rd., Dover, DE 19901 – by the Delaware Bay out on Port Mahon Road)
Early on Sunday morning, people were surprised at the empty tomb of Jesus. Join us early in the morning for a very informal worship gathering as we celebrate the big plot turn in the story of Jesus–spoiler alert: He is Risen! Note: The address is approximate–keep driving until you see some of us gathering near the first pier. Come early and enjoy this beautiful part of Delaware!

EASTER SUNDAY CELEBRATION

Join us (and invite a friend!) as we celebrate Easter–the biggest holiday and celebration of the Christian Church. Join us as we celebrate hope, peace, and a new start in life!

As you may know, we serve the people in the local area around Wyoming and the surrounding area throughout the week. Besides meeting their need for food and other donated items, some individuals often have special needs.

We currently have people who need Depends undergarments and other such items. Many of us may have these items after an illness or when loved ones pass. If you want to give them some new use, bring them to us and we’ll pass them along. So, if you have any, please let me know or bring them on Sunday.

We will hold our Annual Business Meeting after the 10:00 am worship gathering this Sunday (March 2). Members and non-members are welcome to attend; but only members can vote on any business.

Did you know we have a food pantry that serves local families all week long? We’re currently running low on nonperishables in our food pantry. If you want to help us feed our neighbors and friends who are struggling, please consider bringing in canned goods on Sundays––or contact us to drop off on other days of the week!

Also, we’re currently scouring Facebook Marketplace for low cost or free appliances. We need another full-size, upright freezer for our food pantry and a refrigerator/freezer combo. Anyone have one laying around that they don’t need?

One of the ways we connect at Deep Water is through small groups. Small groups meet regularly to help us GATHER, GROW and ENGAGE—the three things we want each person to do as a follower of Jesus. Groups are an integral part of our church’s mission, providing a warm and welcoming environment where individuals can develop deep relationships and grow in their relationship with God.
