The teens are meeting at Sorelle Dolce in Wyoming on April 14 from 3-5pm for mini-golf and ice cream! Teens should bring about $10-15 to cover golf ($8) and ice cream (price varies).

Our youth ministry currently includes kids from 5th grade to high school. There will be a meeting for parents of kids in the youth group this coming Sunday (February 10) after the regular worship gathering. Please join us if your kids are a part of the youth group or you’re interested in getting involved.

Youth group starts up again on September 16. Youth group will meet every Sunday from 4:00-6:00 pm. There will be a brief parents meeting after church this week (Sunday, September  9) to talk about the basic schedule for the semester and to answer any questions. There is a Facebook group where we post updates. Any other questions talk to Angie Barker or Heather Thomson.

This Sunday (June 10) will be the last regularly scheduled youth group. Before we break for summer there will be a Party at the Park at our regularly scheduled time. Meet us at Brecknock Park in Camden. (In case of bad weather, we’ll meet at the church building.)

The youth group is having a lock-in on April 27-28. The cost will be $5. Drop off will be around 5 and pick-up will be around 10. If you’re interested, download a permission slip here.

On December 30-31 (the night before New Years Eve), the teens will travel to Newark for a fun night with bowling, large group games, a trampoline park and more.

After feedback from parents, the youth group for teens is moving to 4pm on Sunday nights, starting this week (September 18). This will allow everyone o get  home earlier to start the school week.

If you have a teenager in 6th-12th grade, send them to check out the youth groups as they study and learn to become more like Jesus (#Jesusy) while having fun too.

As the Deep Water youth group prepares for the new year, we are having a back to school pool party this Sunday (August 28) from 4:00pm to 6:00pm, with a parents meeting at 5:30pm. Everyone should bring snacks or drinks to share. Families welcome.

We’re taking the youth group on a field trip to Powerline in Newark, Delaware next Friday (July 1) for Waterfest. Teens (6th grade thru high school) will have fun with other teens as they play volleyball, enjoy a giant slip-n-slide and an engaging youth service. So, even if you/your students don’t want to get wet they can still come and have a great time playing volleyball, basketball, can jam and a bunch of other games.

Worship will be led by Micaiah Ojo from Evangel University and Appointed Drama team from Northpoint Bible College will also be there.

The cost for the event is $3 per person. We’ll be carpooling up, so seats are limited by the number of drivers. $3 will save your spot; so see us Sunday if you/your teen is interested.

To grow in faith, we encourage people to connect in community and live out the three words to describe our goals for people who attend Deep Water: Gather, Grow and Engage. While many of these may be informal, we do have several that meet informally. (Of course, our “formal” ones are still very causal–just advertised better!) The groups we form focus on one of these words as well–of course, if you’re in a group that gathers for community, you’re likely to grow and possibly engage the community too.

The teens are going on a missions trip to Niagara Falls, New York from June 7-12, 2015. While we may think of Niagara as a vacation place; there is a lot of poverty and physical needs. The teens will join other teens from the region and experience a variety of service experiences from working in a soup kitchen to helping with a VBS.

For every person who goes, lives will be changed.

To make this trip possible, the teens still need some funds. If you’re interested in helping make this trip possible for some teens, consider donating thru this link and choose “youth missions” in the dropdown menu.

Deep Teens are planning a missions trip to Niagara Falls, New York June 7-12, 2015. The teens’ will have a variety of service experiences from serving in a soup kitchen to helping with a VBS. For every person who goes, lives will be changed.

The teens would like some help raising funds for the trip. Each participant needs to raise $300 to make this trip possible.

That’s where Deep Water Church comes into the picture. Our church has the unique opportunity to be used by God to support teens serving in missions. We will be having a fundraiser for the next three weeks. To participate in the fundraiser all you have to do is take an envelope with a designated dollar amount. Then return that envelope with the designated amount of money inside. We will have envelopes with amounts of $1, $2, $3…up to $100. We appreciate any and all help we can get. Thanks in advance for your love and support.

If you want to give online, simply designate “youth missions” when you give.
