Peach Festival

We will be making balloon animals and hosting fun games at the Wyoming Peach Festival on Saturday, August 3. We’ll be right outside our building so it will be a great chance to meet people and invite them to join us on Sundays.

Want to help us? While we’ll teach you some easy balloon art when we get closer–and we also need some help running Kids Games like Giant Connect Four, Giant Jenga and Spike Ball. We would love to develop some carnival games for folks as they come by the building during the festival. Tyler already had a pretty cool idea. We can’t wait to hear more!) Contact us if you’re interested in helping us develop more games for kids!

Remember: It’s a great time to bring by a friend to check out Deep Water.

Get Involved – video

We need help to continue moving forward and making an impact. We need people who like working with video. If troubleshooting video issues on Sunday morning or downloading and uploading videos sounds fun, we’d love to hear from you!

Fill out a connection card on Sunday or contact us if you want to get involved!

There will also be new shoes distributed, haircuts, outreach sources, medical screenings, clothing, family portraits, a children’s play area and hot dogs will be provided for everyone that day. We anticipate that over 3,000 people from the Dover area will participate that day. This gigantic effort requires many volunteers.
You must pre-register to volunteer and get a T-Shirt for that day. Volunteers must be 12 years of age or older. There will be a rally for volunteers on Friday evening where shirts will be distributed and information distributed. We need volunteers who can arrive at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday to begin to sort and package groceries. We specifically need one or two people who know how to use a pallet jack on both Friday morning and Saturday morning. The actual event takes place beginning at 10:00 am and ends when we run out of people or groceries or at 2:00 whichever comes first. We also specifically need someone with a truck or trailer to be available after the event to transport any leftover groceries to the food bank.
