Thanks for making a difference!

As I do most Sundays, I headed out after our regular worship service with some others who attend Deep Water to meet with some of the homeless in Dover. We served sandwiches and people were grateful.

I saw a guy who had nothing but the clothes on his back–which were damp because he had just cleaned them in a sink at a public restroom. Because of your generosity, we were able to get him more clothes and more appropriate shoes, along with hygiene items. These things will help him on his way as he works to get off the street and employed.

Thank you for all you do! It’s through your generosity that we’re known as a church that loves and serves the homeless in Dover, Delaware! While not every one of you may be involved directly with homeless people, many of you are and the rest of you make it possible for us to connect with them on the streets. The homeless who attend Deep Water always tell me about how well they are treated and how welcome they feel. You make them feel like normal people!

Thanks again!
