Pastor Jeff is taking on the Cheru Challenge with Team World Vision to help provide life-changing clean water to children and communities in the developing world. This physical challenge (aka workout) is designed to bring awareness to the need for clean water in many parts of Africa–and raise funds to provide clean water in the process. (You’re welcome to join him for the workout on April 2 and check out FaithRx for a free workout and talk about Jesus.)

Why water? More than 800 children under age 5 die every day from diarrhea caused by contaminated water, poor sanitation, and improper hygiene. But we believe the global water and sanitation crisis can be solved within our lifetimes. Time and effort spent getting water often puts children at risk for violence and makes it difficult for them to get an education and escape poverty.

Starting this Saturday (March 19), for the next two weeks, Deep Water Church will donate for each check-in on Facebook or Instagram tag until we reach the goal to buy clean water for 5 people. For every check-in/tag, we’ll donate $1 to the challenge. For every 50 check-ins/tag, we’ll buy clean water for 1 person–and change their lives allowing them to go to school and live healthy lives.

You can also donate directly here. And contact us to learn more about Faith Rx or to get involved!

World Vision provides more clean water than any nongovernment organization in the world, providing clean water to one new person every 10 seconds. They work to help communities lift themselves out of poverty for good by addressing issues around clean water, hunger, health, education, economic empowerment, and child protection. About World Vision
