Baptism is a step of obedience where we identify with Christ in His death, burial and resurrection…as Jesus said, “Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:19-20, NLT).” Since we try to do the things Jesus told us to do, we baptize believers/followers of Jesus.
We’re planning a baptism at the beach on Sunday, July 8. If you’re interested in getting baptized, see me, contact us or sign up on Sunday–and it turns into a party as we celebrate the new life Jesus offers us in Him; so even if you’re not being baptized, please try to join us!
