Check-in for Chickens
Ever buy a chicken for someone for Christmas? If you live here in southern Delaware, you may have–for the rest of you, here’s your chance: The Youth Center in Zambia which provides kids a safe place to stay and learn. The Youth Center will better be able to fulfill their mission and the Great Commission when we provide them with chickens! Chickens provide eggs for the students to eat, and extra eggs can be sold to provide income for other needed supplies. In December, Deep Water Church will donate for each check-in on Facebook or Instagram tag until we reach the goal to buy 50 chickens for The Youth Center. For every 6 check-ins/tags, we’ll buy a chicken for kids.
Ugly Sweater Sunday
Get out your the ugliest, gaudiest, bedazzled, sparkleified, snow-covered, pine-needle decorated Christmas sweater. We’re talking jingle bells, lights, snowmen, reindeer, Santa hats and more for this Sunday, December 16. Do you, like Pastor Jeff, put the “sweat” in sweater? If so, feel free to wear a ugly Christmas t-shirt! Not sure what an Ugly Sweater or t-shirt is? Well, then you probably wear one all the time! 😜
We do fun stuff because we are a fun church; so it’s a great Sunday to invite a friend or check us out for the first time! Come to our “ugliest” service yet! …and we promise there will be more than just ugly sweaters as we CELEBRATE Christmas!
Christmas Eve
Join us on Monday, December 24 at 6pm for a Candlelight Christmas Eve Celebration.
We will do our best to make the service ‘Kid-friendly’ since we will have them with us so we can all worship together.
