Support Deep Water while shopping online at Amazon
When shopping on Amazon, you can designate a portion of your purchase price for all items to go to Deep Water with no additional cost to you! You get the same products, same prices, same service. But when you register to support us, each time you shop, Deep Water receives a donation!
Amazon Smile will remember you chose to support us each time you return to www.smile.amazon.com. (You can change at any time if you choose to support another registered charity.) Although sometimes Amazon will remind you to use smile to benefit Deep Water, you can bookmark and return to this link each time you shop on Amazon to ensure all your eligible purchases this Christmas season and throughout the year. (I, Jeff, made my quick link to Amazon on Chrome go to Amazon Smile in order to remember each time.) To support us, click this link and select us as your charity! Thanks!
Items for those in Need and/or Homeless this Winter
We’ve been asked to help collect some things thru Lydia’s Way this winter. We’re looking for umbrellas, hats and gloves for men and women. If you have items to donate, bring them on Sundays and drop them in the box in the foyer–or contact us to arrange a drop off time during the week.
Christmas Cookies in Wyoming
The Wyoming Police Department sponsors a “Meet Santa Claus” event. Deep Water plans to do Christmas Cookie Decorating again that evening. We’ll need a few volunteers to setup a tent and tables–and some volunteers to make sugar cookies and help kids decorate them.
It’s hard to believe, but since it is on Saturday, December 1, the event will soon be here!
If you’re interested in helping, contact us–or Nichelle to help with the cookies or Jeff for setting up the tent, tables and chairs and breaking down.
A Tip to Grow in Your Faith

Reading the Bible is one of the primary ways we grow in our faith. An analogy we recently heard in our Wednesday Night class went like this:
Hot dogs taste great; but they are full of many unnatural ingredients. We don’t normally crave mechanically separated meat or maltodextrin–even though they are typically found in hot dogs. What we should crave is pure meat–steak! Many sermons, books and podcast contain ingredients that really aren’t biblical, but they are appealing. We study the Bible because we want to know the truth of the Bible–steak.
Studying the Bible can be life-changing; but it can be difficult to know where to begin or keep going. There are many great reading plans out there to help. (Check out YouVersion for many choices.) For a fun, animated way to study Scripture, check out our friends at The Bible Project.
