Join us for Dinner–and Bible Study!
One of the best ways to grow spiritually is to study the Bible. As we have said recently, Christians often treat the Bible like a software agreement–we just click agree but never read it. It can be tough to know where to begin…and many get discouraged on their own…we want to help you grow in your faith and meet some great people.
Join us for Small Group Dinner and Bible study (starting Wednesday, September 19). Dinner will be served from 5:30-6:30 pm. Bible Study will begin at 6:30 pm. (You’re welcome to join us at 6:30 if you can’t make it to dinner.) We’re asking for a $3 donation to offset the cost of dinner. Like cooking? Please be sure to sign up on Sunday or contact Deep Water or Facebook message Jeff Dyer if you’re coming so we can plan for dinner, where we will meet and handouts.
Mini-Class
We’re getting close to time to start up our Wednesday nights again; but we’re thinking of doing a “mini-class” on Sundays after the service. How many would be interested in a short class before or after the service? (About 30 minutes–brief teaching and discussion on some things to start right in becoming a disciple of Jesus)

Opportunity to Get Involved: Help Move Tables
We need some help picking up some donated, round tables. If you are available on the evening of Tuesday, September 4, we can use a few more hands. It’s an easy run from West Dover and back to Deep Water’s building. We’ll meet at Deep Water, pick up the tables and return. We have a truck and a trailer. Any extra trailers/trucks would be appreciated.

Leader and Volunteer Potluck Meeting – September 2018
Save the date: We’re planning a leadership and volunteer meeting & potluck on Sunday, September 9 from 5-6:30 pm. It will be a fun time of fellowship–plus a time to share about the future of Deep Water. If you are a leader or volunteer (or want to be) in any capacity, you are invited!

Baptism this Sunday (August 26)
Baptism is a symbol of a commitment to follow Jesus. We’ve talked about it recently during the worship gatherings at Deep Water. We had a beach baptism earlier this summer. Several people who couldn’t make it to our beach baptism have expressed interest in getting baptized, so we’re planning one this Sunday during the regular service.
