Baptism this Sunday (August 26)

Baptism is a symbol of a commitment to follow Jesus. We’ve talked about it recently during the worship gatherings at Deep Water. We had a beach baptism earlier this summer. Several people who couldn’t make it to our beach baptism have expressed interest in getting baptized, so we’re planning one this Sunday during the regular service.

Leader and Volunteer Potluck Meeting

Save the date: We’re planning a leadership and volunteer potluck on Sunday, September 9 from 5-6:30 pm. It will be a fun time of fellowship–plus a time to share about the future of Deep Water. If you are a leader or volunteer (or want to be) in any capacity, you are invited. Look for more information in the future!

Small Groups for the Fall

To grow in faith, we encourage people to connect in community and live out the three words to describe our goals for people who attend Deep Water: Gather, Grow and Engage. To do this, many groups form within Deep Water Church. While many of these groups may be informal, we do have several that meet formally. (Of course, our “formal” ones are still very causal–just advertised better)!
As we approach the Fall, many may want to start small groups. If you want to start one or want more information, talk to me (Jeff) on a Sunday, contact me or comment below. I’ll help guide you through the process of getting started.

Fifer Customer Appreciation Day 2018 this Saturday

FIFER’S CUSTOMER APPRECIATION DAY
We will be making balloon animals and hosting fun games at theFifer’s Customer Appreciation Day this Saturday (August 11) from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. We’ll be tying balloon animals and running games again so it will be a great chance to meet people and invite them to join us on Sundays. It’s a great time to bring by a friend to meet some people Deep Water.

Want to help us? Not sure how to make balloon animals? We’ll teach you some easy balloon art–and we need some help running Kids Games like Giant Connect Four, Giant Jenga and Spike Ball. Contact us to sign-up or swing by on Saturday!

What to do when the Facebook Live Stream isn’t there…

We do our best to post the sermon video so those who work, are deployed, or are unable to make it for a variety of other reasons are able to stay connected and grow. For technical reasons, we were unable to stream the sermon live on Facebook this week. This occasionally happens because of software updates and Facebook privacy polices, etc.
