Do you like to Mow?

We want to make a great first impression on guests and be good neighbors to those who live near us. We have been blessed with a beautiful building, but beautiful buildings need a little help to stay beautiful.

We are putting together a schedule of people to cut the grass here at the church building once a week. (The mower will be here for you to use.) If you have a little time, like to mow and are willing to serve, contact us or follow the Facebook post here.

Baptism at the Beach 2018

Baptism is a step of obedience where we identify with Christ in His death, burial and resurrection…as Jesus said, “Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:19-20, NLT).” Since we try to do the things Jesus told us to do, we baptize believers/followers of Jesus.

We’re planning a baptism at the beach on Sunday, July 8. If you’re interested in getting baptized, see me, contact us or sign up on Sunday–and it turns into a party as we celebrate the new life Jesus offers us in Him; so even if you’re not being baptized, please try to join us! We’ll have some more party details soon!

Towels for Firefly Project 2018 and Code Purple

As many of you know, we work to help the homeless in the greater Dover area and love partnering with other organizations that serve the homeless population. Three years ago, we began to work with the people who put on Firefly. Many of the items left behind after the festival can be useful to the homeless. All the things collected go to Code Purple in Kent and Sussex County.

If you can’t be part of the cleanup on Monday, we will need help laundering towels from the festival. Watch our announcements on Facebook or contact us if you’re interested. Towels should be available for pickup Monday evening. When you are done washing them, simply bring them back to us.
