Save the Date: Firefly Project 2018 and Code Purple
As many of you know, we work to help the homeless in this area and love partnering with other organizations that serve the homeless population. Two years ago, we began to work with the people who put on Firefly. Many of the items left behind after the festival can be useful to the homeless. To make this work, we need volunteers to help us collect and process materials donated and left behind after Firefly on Monday, June 18. All the things collected go to Code Purple. We’ll have a signup list in the near future.
Ladies Prayer Group
Reminder: Ladies Prayer Group on Sundays
What is it you ask?
In Mark 2, four men rip open a roof and lower their paralyzed friend down to be healed by Jesus. Sometimes we all need the faith of our friends. Come join the ladies’ prayer group, Sundays from 4:00-6:00 pm in the upstairs classroom near the kitchen, aka “the Upper Room”. We will be praying for each other and learning a few useful techniques to rip open roofs through prayer. Childcare available.
Dinner and Bible Study starts next week! (May 2)
We want to help you grow in your faith and meet some great people. Join us for a six week Small Group Dinner and Bible study (starting Wednesday, May 2 to June 6).
Dinner will be served from 5:30-6:30 pm. Bible Study in Galatians will begin at 6:30 pm. (You’re welcome to join us at 6:30 if you can’t make it to dinner.) It can be tough to know where to begin…and many get discouraged on their own…we want to help you grow in your faith and meet some great people.
