Trunk or Treat Candy
Trunk-or-Treat is one of the ways we try to be good neighbors and connect with the neighborhood around us. We need volunteers to decorate trunks, decorate/set up tables, and hand out candy to kids.
Please contact us or sign up on Sunday to volunteer your trunk!
Small Groups Update
- a small group on Wednesday nights that will do general Bible Study
- a “book club” that meets periodically (monthly or so) to discuss a theological/church related book we’ve all read — 1st up is “Fellowship of Differents” by Scot McNight
- men’s group on Saturday mornings.
Pastor Appreciation Potluck
October is Pastor Appreciation Month. Instead of our regular 5th Sunday potluck, we plan to celebrate pastor appreciation month with a potluck this year on Sunday, October 29 after our normal 10:00 am worship gathering.
There is a box in the sanctuary lobby (near the coffee ☕️) if you want to leave a card or note of appreciation for Pastor Jeff and Denise.
For details on the potluck contact us.
Trunk or Treat – 2023
One of the ways we try to be good neighbors and connect with the neighborhood around us is to connect with our neighbors who are out Trick-or-Treating.
What is Trunk-or-Treat?
Volunteers decorate trunks, decorate/set up tables, and hand out candy to kids. Please contact us or sign up on Sunday to volunteer your trunk!
Have someone you’ve been inviting to church?
Invite them to Trunk-or-Treat with you in Wyoming or ask them to help you decorate your trunk. They’ll find out we’re not as scary as they might think! And maybe they will join you next time you invite them!
Want to contribute but can’t come?
We need candy! If you’re interested in donating candy for those decorating their trunks or tables, bring it to Deep Water at any time! But please buy the good stuff–we don’t want to hand out cheap stuff as we represent Jesus!
Baptism this Sunday (September 17, 2023)
Jesus said “Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:19-20, NLT).”
Baptism is a step of obedience where we identify with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection.
We’re planning a baptism this Sunday (September 17) at 2:00pm at the Hamilton’s house. If you’re interested in being baptized, contact us, comment below–or just show up ready to get wet!
Also, since baptism is symbolic of joining the family of faith, come and hang out with your faith fam! Celebrate with us! Bring some sacks to share and stay to fellowship and/or swim afterward!
And, if you want to know more of what baptism is all about, check out the sermon on Facebook from this week which is about baptism–or ask Jeff on Sunday!
