2017 End of Year Giving

We appreciate the generosity of the people who call Deep Water their home–and the people who support our efforts who don’t attend regularly. When you give, you are part of all the things we are doing here in Wyoming, Camden and the greater Dover area–and around the world. (We’re doing some pretty cool missions things in Africa and Asia right now.) Thanks for being part of all God is doing through us!

All donations are tax deductible. In order to receive tax credit for this year, the IRS requires that donations must be received or postmarked by December 31. Donations can be made on Sundays in December–or feel free to give online (click here), by mail or in person. And remember, January 1 falls on a Monday this year!

Join us for Christmas

There are moments in time that change everything–and the birth of Jesus is one of those moments. Amid all the preparations and busyness of the season, we often lose sight of the Savior who comes into the world to save us.

Join us this Christmas for our regular Sunday services as we prepare our hearts for the birth that changes everything. And join us on Christmas Eve, at 5pm, for a candlelight service.

Pancakes for the Guys on Saturday

Our desire as a church is to make disciples (Matthew 28:18-20). We form groups to do that. Over the last few years we have had some great men’s groups. This Saturday, December 9, we will meet at the new church building from 7-8:30 am to talk about some changes to better help us make and become disciples. If you’re interested, contact us or John Rundle so we can make enough pancakes.

Thank you for Pastor Appreciation

Denise and I really enjoyed spending time on Sunday celebrating the new building while also celebrating Pastor Appreciation month. One of my favorite verses of Scripture (surprisingly, it’s not out of Luke) is 1 Thessalonians 2:8 which says, “We loved you so much that we shared with you not only God’s Good News but our own lives, too.” Thanks for the privilege of sharing the Gospel while living it out with you. The notes of encouragement are appreciated more than you know and will be treasured. The generosity of your gifts was humbling. I enjoyed spending time with old friends and becoming better acquainted with some new ones. And I’m looking forward to the new year together! Thanks again!

Potluck Dinner on Sunday, December 3

As part of the celebration of our new build and Pastor Appreciation Month (October–but we waited for the move!), we’ll be getting together for a Potluck Dinner on Sunday, December 3 (this week) after the 10 am service.

What is a “potluck”? Basically everyone brings some food to share and we have dinner together. If everybody brings one dish to share, we will end up with a feast.
