Trunk or Treat in Downtown Dover

We’re gearing up for Dover Police Department’s 2nd annual Trick or Treat event on Legislative Mall. With over 6,000 in attendance last year, Dover PD has worked to make changes and spread out to ensure that the crowds can move easier than last year – including adding lighting, restrooms, and more.
We look forward to helping them put on an even better event this year and hope you will come back to join us for year two on October 27th.
We will need some help decorating a trunk to treat…please see Pastor Jeff to volunteer!
And, as we did last year, we will need lots of candy donations!!
Potluck Dinner
As part of the celebration of our 5th anniversary, we’ll be getting together for a Potluck on Sunday, October 1 at 5:30pm.
What is a “potluck”? Basically everyone brings some food to share and we have dinner together. If everybody brings one dish to share, we will end up with a feast.
As announced last week in the meeting after our worship gathering, we will NOT be meeting downtown for the potluck. Directions will be provided this Sunday after the worship gathering.

Leadership and Volunteer Meeting
This Sunday (September 24), we will have a leadership and volunteer meeting about 15 minutes after our regular worship gathering. If you volunteer or lead in any way at Deep Water – kitchen, communion, greeters, worship team, Sunday morning computer, sound, nursery, kids’ church, administration, youth group, picking up WaWa food, feeding the homeless/hungry, hosting small groups, making balloon animals, cleaning, etc.–you’re invited and strongly encouraged to attend this meeting. Trust me, you won’t want to miss it!
I (Jeff) will try to keep the length short; but it will really help us with what we do on a regular basis and with some EXCITING new plans for this year; and some of you may want to stick around and work on a few things for the coming year!
