Potluck Dinner

As part of the celebration of our 5th anniversary, we’ll be getting together for a Potluck on Sunday, October 1 at 5:30pm.

What is a “potluck”? Basically everyone brings some food to share and we have dinner together. If everybody brings one dish to share, we will end up with a feast.

I know coming back on a Sunday evening might seem a hassle and you may be wondering why we don’t do it right after church, but trust me; there is good reason and you’ll have a great time!

Leadership and Volunteer Meeting

Next Sunday (September 24), we will have a leadership and volunteer meeting about 15 minutes after our regular worship gathering. If you volunteer or lead in any way at Deep Water – kitchen, communion, greeters, worship team, Sunday morning computer, sound, nursery, kids church, administration, youth group, picking up WaWa food, feeding the homeless/hungry, hosting small groups, cleaning, etc.–you’re invited and strongly encouraged to attend this meeting.

I (Jeff) will try to keep the length short; but it will really help us with what we do on a regular basis and with some EXCITING new plans for this year.

Hurricane Harvey and Irma

There are a lot of good organizations helping with Hurricane Harvey and Irma relief. Convoy of Hope (Facebook) is an organization that is there for every disaster in the US; yet is one of the “Best Kept Secrets” of Disaster Relief worldwide. Please consider making donations to them for relief efforts.

If you would like to make the donation through us on Sunday, you can mark it Convoy of Hope or give online and designate it Convoy of Hope here. We will be making a donation on behalf of Deep Water Church thanks to your generous, regular giving.
