Confusing Scriptures?

I always loved Choose Your Own Adventure books. Since we’re wrapping up Ephesians, here’s your opportunity to shape the summer series–so Choose the Adventure for us all!

What did I mean by that? Ever have questions about what a Bible verse really means? Ever read a verse that seems to say something kinda weird? Well, here are a few common ones that people struggle to understand…check the ones that you’d like to hear taught–or add one you’d like at the end!

This July, we are excited to partner with Northwest Haiti Christian Mission to help provide clean water to families in need. Northwest Haiti Christian Mission partners with local churches to bring the people of Northwest Haiti out of spiritual, physical and social poverty. Every check-in at Deep Water will provide one week of clean drinking water to a family.

If you like hashtags, the hashtag this month is #givewater.

Thanks for checking in on Facebook or tagging our location on Instagram to give the gift of clean water!

Firefly Project 2017 and Code Purple

As many of you know, we work to help the homeless in this area and love partnering with other organizations that serve the homeless population. Two years ago, we began to work with the people who put on Firefly. Many of the items left behind after the festival can be useful to the homeless. To make this work, we need volunteers to help us collect and process materials donated and left behind after Firefly on Monday, June 19 @19:30am. All the things collected go to Code Purple.

Yesterday, we went to a regularly scheduled meeting with Red Frog (the organizers of Firefly) at Legislative Hall. We were surprised when the Delaware House of Representatives honored us for the work we did staring the project and our continued work organizing the project for Code Purple. While most of you weren’t able to be there, all of you are part of this. Thanks for being part of Deep Water and making a difference in the lives of so many as we love our community for Jesus! #WeAreAllInThisTogether

If you signed up to help, be sure to pick up your t-shirts on Sunday after the 10:00am worship gathering.

Ladies Nacho Night

Ladies Nacho Night? Can men come? No, it’s ‘nacho’ night! ????

As we head into summer, please make time to join us on Saturday, June 17, from 5:30 to 7:00 pm for a fun evening together. We’ll enjoy a Nacho Bar (Yep…nachos with loads of toppings!), a few ice breakers, and the opportunity to connect with other ladies of Deep Water. Although you are welcome to bring drinks or a dessert if you’d like, you don’t need to bring a thing…except yourself! Please sign-up on Sunday or contact Deborah or Jettie (see below).

This is a great opportunity to get to know other ladies in pursuit of Jesus, gather together, and hear about the next chapter for the ladies of Deep Water. Childcare will be available for those who need it. To stay up-to-date on the latest news for ladies, join our “Deep Water Ladies” group on Facebook. For more information, feel free to reach out to Deborah Climie at (302) 359-8309 or Jettie Tolbert at (808) 232-1639.
