Group Spotlight: Tuesday Men’s Group

We talk about three core actions at Deep Water Church: gather, grow and engage. We want people to gather as a community, grow in their faith and engage the world around us. One of the ways we help people grow is by connecting in groups. As you start the new year, consider starting or joining a group. This week’s spotlight is the Men’s Discipleship Group (Tuesday).

Men’s Discipleship Group (Tuesday)
Interested in a quick midweek spiritual tune up? Meet us early in the morning for a time studying the Bible over coffee–and maybe even breakfast. We’re currently studying Leadership By the Book: Lessons from Every Book of the Bible. (Remember you can help support Deep Water Church when you make Amazon purchases. Click here for more info.)
Time & Location: Every Tuesday from 6-7:30am, normally at Deep Water Church’s Building
Leader: John Rundle (Facebookemail or call/text 302-270-4193)
Since life and schedules can be unpredictable, if you find a group that interests you, contact the leader for more information or to find out exactly when & where they will meet next.

Fine Arts Festival for Teenagers

Fine Arts is coming up!

If you’re not familiar with Fine Arts, it is a fun way for teens to express their talents while getting constructive feedback form judges and peers. The teens compete on the Sectional (Delaware), District (Pennsylvania and Delaware) and National (in California this year) levels. Everyone is welcome to compete on the Sectional level, but they must qualify to compete on each additional level.

A PDF of the rulebook (with categories, qualifications, etc) can be downloaded here:
http://agwebservices.org/Content/RSSResources/2017%20Fine%20Arts%20Rulebook%2010-24-16.pdf

All creative writing, short film, mini saga, and promo video must be sent in by January 17 to be accepted for the festival.

All other entries (forms and payment) must be received by Deep Water Church by Sunday, January 22.

For more information, contact us, or see us on Sunday. There will be a brief informational meeting about Fine Arts from 3:30-4 pm this Sunday (January 15) before youth group.

Identity–Becoming Who GOD Says You Are

One of our convictions at Deep Water is that the Bible is our guide for life. But many people never read it–or perhaps don’t understand it. So, we often preach through books of the Bible on Sunday mornings.

Currently, we’ve just started Ephesians. Join us this new year as we study the book of Ephesians and look at and become who God has created us to be!

Group Spotlight: Friend Night

We talk about three core actions at Deep Water Church: gather, grow and engage. We want people to gather as a community, grow in their faith and engage the world around us. One of the ways we help people grow is by connecting in groups. As you start the new year, consider starting or joining a group. This week’s spotlight is the Friend Night group:

Friend Night (formerly Hebron House)
Spend Friday nights with old friends and new for dinner, laughter, and maybe some serious conversation about God. We rotate hosting so check with us to see what is on the menu and where we will be meeting. To connect, check out the Facebook Group. (It’s a closed group because of the stuff we share there; but if you’re a real person who wants to connect, we’ll add you!)
Time & Location: every Friday night except the 1st Friday of the month at 6:30pm in and around Dover
Leaders: David & Sarah Moser (David: Facebook, email or call/text 765-434-8810; Sarah: Facebook, email)

Check-In and Do Good this January

During January, every 10 check-ins at Deep Water Church helps provide a winter coat to someone in need. We’ve partnered with other churches and a great charity called Soles4Souls to make this possible.

So don’t forget to check in on Facebook each time you visit Deep Water.
