Christmas Schedule 2016
December is already here and we’re looking forward to Christmas. With all the busy-ness, we’re going to slow down on Sunday mornings and look closely at the Story of Christmas. So, join us each week as we celebrate the coming of Christ and encourage each other in our faith.
The Christmas Schedule will be a little different this year since Christmas and New Year’s Day each fall on a Sunday. While we’d love to gather for worship on Christmas, realistically, most of us have many family obligations and it would end up just being a few of us gathered. So, since we normally do a Christmas Candlelight Gathering on the Sunday morning before Christmas, this year we are going to do a Christmas Eve service with all that we do on Sunday mornings.
Here’s the Plan for this Season:
December 4, 11 & 18: Simply CHRISTmas
9 & 11 am Worship Gatherings
Kids Church and Nursery at each service
December 24: Christmas/Christmas Eve Service
All of us will worship together–no Kids Church or Nursery
December 25: Closed–Enjoy the Day with Family & Friends
January 1: 11am Worship Gathering Only
No 9am service

This Christmas, you can give the Book of Hope to children in need by checking in on Facebook at Deep Water Church. Every 3 check-ins provides a book that shares the Gospel with a child. We’ve partnered with other churches and OneHope to make this possible. To learn more about OneHope, check them out here!
Christmas Trees and Cocoa
Join us us this Thursday, December 1 (tonight if you’re reading this by email on Thursday) for the tree lighting in Downtown Dover. The City of Dover celebrates with a tree lighting ceremony near City Hall (near the Library–look for the bleachers) around 6pm. People will then proceed to the Loockerman Way Plaza (the big space near our worship space where the Farmer’s Market is held in the summer) for the lighting of the second tree and some music.
Deep Water will be handing out 100s of cups of hot chocolate as we serve the community. Come join us for the tree lighting, special music and visit by a big guy with a beard in a red suit. 😉

Cranberry Sauce
The Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance of Dover (IMA) and the NAACP are having a Community Thanksgiving Dinner on Monday, November 21, 2015 at Holy Trinity, 425 W. Division Street in Dover from 4-7pm—and we’re bringing the Cranberry Sauce and Water!
We’ve had lots of water donated. but we still need some cranberry sauce. If you’re going to donate cranberry sauce, we need the cans by this Sunday, November 20.
Volunteers will serve the food to the guests from the community. We need volunteers there as early as 2pm for setup and some to stay later for cleanup.
