Beach Baptism at Bowers this Sunday Afternoon (June 26)
This week (Sunday, June 26), we’re meeting at Bowers beach at 4pm. If you’re interested in being baptized, see me, contact me, sign up on Sunday or comment below. (What is baptism? Listen to this podcast.)
After the baptism, we’ll have a beach party with a potluck meal and BBQ as we celebrate the new life Jesus offers us in Him; so even if you’re not being baptized, please try to join us!

Youth Group Trip: WaterFest 2016
We’re taking the youth group on a field trip to Powerline in Newark, Delaware next Friday (July 1) for Waterfest. Teens (6th grade thru high school) will have fun with other teens as they play volleyball, enjoy a giant slip-n-slide and an engaging youth service. So, even if you/your students don’t want to get wet they can still come and have a great time playing volleyball, basketball, can jam and a bunch of other games.
Worship will be led by Micaiah Ojo from Evangel University and Appointed Drama team from Northpoint Bible College will also be there.
The cost for the event is $3 per person. We’ll be carpooling up, so seats are limited by the number of drivers. $3 will save your spot; so see us Sunday if you/your teen is interested.
For more information, watch for news in the Deep Water Parents of Teens group.
Thanks for Helping Others with the Code Purple Firefly Project
Thanks for helping with the Code Purple Firefly Project. While we don’t have a count yet on specific items, three moving trucks full of materials were collected. It will be used to help those in need around Dover and Kent County!
If you want to be part of helping sort and cleaning materials, John Rundle is leading the efforts this Saturday at 10am. For more details, see the post in the Deep Water Facebook Group.
Beach Baptism at Bowers
Baptism on the Beach at Bowers…a tongue twister and a step of obedience where we identify with Christ in His death, burial and resurrection.
We’re planning a baptism at the beach on Sunday, June 26 at 4pm. If you’re interested in being baptized, see me, contact me, sign up on Sunday or comment below.
And it turns into a beach party with a potluck meal and BBQ as we celebrate the new life Jesus offers us in Him; so even if you’re not being baptized, please try to join us! There will be a signup sheet for potluck/BBQ items for the evening so we can get it all planned.
And, if you want to know more of what baptism is all about, check out the podcast where we talked about baptism–or ask Jeff on Sunday!
