Deep Water 201 next Wednesday (June 15)

essentials_201_growth_track_buttonWe had a great time going over Deep Water 101 this week. A few couldn’t make it, so we normally get asked, ” I missed Church 101, should I take Essential 201?”

Answer: If you missed Church 101, you can still take Essentials 201 this week Wednesday (June 15 at 7:00 pm) and 301 and 401.

In Essentials 201, we will learn the best practices for how to grow in your faith

The classes take roughly an hour; so join us next week (June 15).  These classes are designed to teach more about our history and values–in other words, why we do what we do–while helping you grow in your faith!

If you can’t make all four, you can catch up the next time!

What are 101, 201, 301 and 401? Click here for more info.

Youth Events for the Summer

Baptism at Bowers

Beach-Baptism

We’re planning a baptism at the beach on Sunday, June 26 at 4pm. If you’re interested in being baptized, see me, contact me, sign up on Sunday or comment below. And it turns into a beach party with a potluck meal and BBQ as we celebrate the new life Jesus offers us in Him; so even if you’re not being baptized, please try to join us!

Baptism on the Beach at Bowers…a tongue twister and a step of obedience where we identify with Christ in His death, burial and resurrection.

And, if you want to know more of what baptism is all about, check out the podcast where we talked about baptism–or ask Jeff on Sunday!

Give to Code Purple Firefly Project

Some have expressed interest in helping financially with the Code Purple Firefly Project; so we enabled online giving for that. To make a donation, simply go to the giving page (here) and select Code Purple Firefly Project. Of course, you’re welcome to donate through the regular offering on Sunday. Envelopes are available on the information table. Just mark Code Purple or Firefly on the envelope and we’ll get the funds there.

Why do we need money to go get free stuff for the homeless? There are some initial costs in gathering and refurbishing things–including signs, t-shirts, etc. that are displayed at the festival.

What’s the Firefly Project? Check it out here.

Baptism on the Beach at Bowers

Beach-BaptismJesus said “Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:19-20, NLT).”
