Baptism at the Beach
Baptism is a step of obedience where we identify with Christ in His death, burial and resurrection…and He said “Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:19-20, NLT).” So, we do the things He told us to do! We’re planing a baptism at the beach on Sunday, June 26. If you’re interested in being baptized, see me, contact me, sign up on Sunday or comment below. And it turns into a party as we celebrate the new life Jesus offers us in Him; so even if you’re not being baptized, please try to join us! We’ll have some more party details soon!
Join us on Wednesday Nights for Deep Water 101, 201, 301 & 401
We normally offer these classes on Sundays; but wanted to give an alternate time to take these classes so you can learn, grow and get involved. The classes are scheduled to begin Wednesday, June 8. (I previously said June 1, but apparently can’t count because we’ll still be doing Basic.) They are designed to teach more about our history and values–in other words, why we do what we do–while helping you grow in your faith!
- Church 101: This class is a basic introduction to Deep Water and will help you understand church membership.
- Essentials 201: This class develops the essential habits that every believer needs to become a fully-devoted follower of Jesus Christ.
- Discovery 301: This class helps you discover your personality, gifts, and purpose in life, and see how God combines them for the best fit in ministry.
- Dream Team 401: This class helps you connect your gifts to a place to help make the vision a reality.

Community Fair – June 11 2016
One of the things we value is serving our community at local events. We’ve been asked to do balloon animals and play some games with kids at a Community Fair to be held on Saturday, June 11 from 11-4:30 at Loockerman Way Plaza (that big green space on Loockerman Street near our worship space).
It’s a great way to serve our community and meet some new people. There will be plenty of people; but it won’t be nearly as crazy busy as Dover Days!
