Mark Your Calendar–Sunrise on Easter 2016

Easter Advertising 2015-01

OK, seriously…you probably don’t need to mark your calendar. Who makes appointments this early in the morning on a Sunday? But seriously, as the sun rises at 6:53 AM some from Deep Water will gather for a sunrise gathering at Port Mahon near the pier. It’s a ‘bring your own chair’ and ‘bring your own coffee’ event.

Come join us as we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in this incredible setting with a brief service of Scripture and prayer as we enjoy the beauty of God’s creation.

Need directions? Click here. And look for the pier. Contact Jeff for more info.

Meeting for FireFly 2016 Cleanup for the Homeless

In preparation for FireFly, we’ll be holding a brief meeting this week after each of the services (9 & 11) to discuss the opportunities to serve and how you can be a part of this incredible project.

If you can’t make the meeting or want to get your name on the list early, we are looking for volunteers to help with the project. To sign up, go here. We’ll keep you in the loop to help!

Also, if your business might be interested in donating services or sending volunteers, let us know! We have local businesses donating trucks, laundering donated goods (need more help here!), etc.

For more information about the project, click here.

In it to End it – Night of Prayer!

Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

–Jesus in Matthew 28:18-20

Jesus commissioned his followers to go and make disciples around the world. We get to be part of what God is doing–around Dover and around the world!

Christina Gallant is organizing a group for people interested in Missions–whether that means helping support/organize or going on a trip.

This Saturday (March 12) at 6:30pm at Deep Water’s Worship space,  we will host a showing of a documentary, time of prayer and discussion of how to connect with changing the world. We’d love you to join us.

If you’re interested, comment below or message Christina on Facebook, and check out the Facebook event for In it to End it – Night of Prayer!

And invite a friend!

St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Get out your green clothes and get ready for the St. Patrick’s Day parade this Saturday. The parade begins at 2:00pm and will go down Loockerman past Deep Water Church’s worship space.

People start saving space to see the parade. So, join us there about 1:oopm if you want a good spot. It’s a great opportunity to show a friend where we meet if they aren’t sure about where we are downtown, shop a little downtown or enjoy a great slice of Pizza at Angelo’s. And, it’s always fun to watch a parade–especially while wearing a silly St. Patty’s Leprechaun Hat!
