Candlelight Christmas on Sunday, December 20
Join us for our Christmas Candlelight service on Sunday, December 20 during both the 9 & 11am services.
We’ll have many of the elements of our typical Sunday worship gathering; but we’ll also tell the Christmas story and celebrate with a traditional candle light service.
Remember, it’s a great service to invite a friend!
Nursery will be provided, but the older children will join us for this celebration.
Ugly Christmas Sweater Contest
Start planning your the ugliest, gaudiest, bedazzled, sparkle-fied, snow-covered, pine-needle decorated Christmas sweaters. We’re talking jingle bells, lights, felt snowmen, reindeer, Santa hats and more on Sunday, December 13.
And remember, we do fun stuff because we are a fun church; so it’s a great Sunday to invite a friend! Invite them to our “ugliest” service yet! …and we promise there will be more than just ugly sweaters as we anticipate The Arrival of Christmas!
The Arrival
And he will be called:
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 6:9)
In this season, we look forward to decorations, traditions such as lighting a Christmas tree, time with family and perhaps the gifts that await us on Christmas morning.
His arrival was foretold by Isaiah hundreds of years before Jesus came. Come celebrate with us on Sundays at 9 or 11am as we anticipate the the Arrival of the One who changes everything for today!
And remember, if you miss a week, you can always follow along from the website with the podcast.
Community Thanksgiving Dinner
The City of Dover Police Department, the Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance of Dover (IMA) and the NAACP are having a Community Thanksgiving Dinner on Monday, November 23, 2015 at Holy Trinity, 425 W. Division Street in Dover from 4-7pm—and we’re bringing the Cranberry Sauce!
The Dover Police Department is contributing 100 turkeys. The local community will be blessed as 80 turkeys will be given away and 20 turkeys will be prepared for the dinner. Volunteers will serve the food to the 200 guests from the community. We still have space for volunteers to serve or donate cranberry sauce. We need volunteers there as early as 2pm for setup and some to stay later for cleanup.
To donate, just bring cranberry sauce in this Sunday.
To volunteer, contact us or comment below! (We especially need someone who knows how to properly carve a Turkey.)
Socks & Underwear
While it rarely seems like a good Christmas present when young, it can make a big difference to those living on the streets. So, this Christmas, Deep Water Church is sponsoring a socks and underwear drive. We’re looking for warm socks and new packages of underwear (boxers, briefs or boxer-briefs) and long underwear in a variety of men’s sizes. Feel free to bring them in every week and we’ll begin distributing them immediately. If you’d prefer to just make a donation, you can do that here. and choose “Socks & Underwear” in the first block.
