Operation Christmas Child

We are taking part in something called Operation Christmas Child. People across the country will fill shoe boxes with small toys, school supplies, hygiene items and other gifts. With your $7 donation (placed inside the box), this Christmas season, a child overseas will receive your shoebox along with literature explaining the good news of Jesus in their language.

Want to pay online and find out specifically out where your box goes? By making your donation online here using a credit or debit card you will receive a special shoe box label included in your e-mail receipt. Print or copy the label as many times as you need to attach to each of your boxes.

Please return the shoeboxes to us by Sunday, November 23, and we’ll get them to the collection place.

Questions? Comment below or contact us for more info–or see Cindi or Jeff on Sunday and/or pick up a brochure in the lobby. If you’re interested, pick up a shoebox too!

Beyond Sunday Morning

One of the key parts of our vision is creating “a place where people come to experience God while getting to know other people and building community.” It’s easier to talk about community than to create it and live in it. We hope that you experience community before and after worship as we connect with each other; but we also want you to experience community through the week.

One unique thing that has started at Deep Water is Friday night community: people come together for a potluck dinner and fellowship–getting to know one another. If you want deep relationships, check it out. The best way to connect is on Facebook at Hebron House. Ask to join and experience community! If you’re not on Facebook, let me know and I’ll help you connect with the right people on Sunday.

Check-in and Feed Kids

9-Sept_Reach_Promo2_12x8

We’ve partnered with Haiti Partners and other churches to feed students in Haiti. While many of us use Facebook to post about our lives and all the things we do, this is our opportunity to make a difference in someone’s life simply by clicking “check in” on our phones while at Deep Water. (The #DoGood & #GiveMeals tags are optional, but help spread the word.)

Education lifts kids out of poverty–but many students don’t have adequate food.

For every three people who “check in” on Facebook, we’ll help a school to help lift local kids out of poverty so they can build a future.

Remember to check in at Deep Water and help feed kids in Haiti!

Launch 2: a new option on Sunday!

11988243_883433998409125_2110514355523534185_nThis Sunday, September 13, we’ll be starting a second worship service to make room and give you more options. It should make the process of finding a seat a little easier–and from the feedback we’re getting, an earlier service will be welcomed by many people!

Some have asked about Nursery and Kids Church. We will have nursery care (0-preK) at both services. At this time, we will have Kids Church (K-5th grade) at the 11:00am service only. Of course, many kids enjoy staying for the regular service; and they are welcome to do so at either worship gathering.

Services will be at 9:00am & 11:00am.

This is a great opportunity to let friends know about Deep Water. You can help us invite your friends by:

  • Clicking “join” on our Facebook Event so your friends will see
  • Liking us on Facebook
  • Inviting people to like our Facebook page since this will help us invite them to the new service.

Want to volunteer? It’s not too late to get involved!
