Deep Water Teen Missions
The teens are going on a missions trip to Niagara Falls, New York from June 7-12, 2015. While we may think of Niagara as a vacation place; there is a lot of poverty and physical needs. The teens will join other teens from the region and experience a variety of service experiences from working in a soup kitchen to helping with a VBS.
For every person who goes, lives will be changed.
To make this trip possible, the teens still need some funds. If you’re interested in helping make this trip possible for some teens, consider donating thru this link and choose “youth missions” in the dropdown menu.
If you have kids and want to support the teens in their mission while getting a night out with you spouse, check out the Parents Night Out.
Baptism on May 17
Baptism is a symbol of a commitment to follow Jesus. Several people have expressed interest in getting baptized, so we’re planning one on May 17.
If you’re interested in being baptized, see me, contact me, sign up on Sunday with the connection card or comment below so we can be sure you get the most up to date information and let you know about any last minute changes.
By the way, we did a sermon called “Taking a bath can save my soul?!?!” in order to clear up some misunderstandings about baptism. So if you’re not sure what baptism is all about, check out the podcast.

We have four upcoming classes called Deep Water 101, 201, 301 and 401. Look for more info in the near future. And if you want to be notified when the details are announced, contact us or comment below!
Dover Days Signups
Dover Days will be celebrated May 1-3, 2015. The event is the largest in Kent County and drew more than 50,000 people last year. A blend of traditions and modern attractions, celebrates First State history.
Part of what makes us who we are as a church is the desire to be connected and part of the community outside of the space we meet weekly. As a church we encourage people to be actively involved in the community and take part in the many festivals in and around Dover.
A.D. The Bible Continues
Our current series is shadowing the A.D. The Bible Continues as it runs on Sunday Nights at 9pm on NBC. Since there are normally a few inaccuracies in how the Biblical story is portrayed in any film, our plan has been to cover the texts that will be the basis of the story told that evening. That way, you can go into the evening with some background knowledge of the story and what it means.
If you are watching at home and have questions (especially if you haven’t been able to make it on Sundays), I’d encourage you to listen to the sermons on Sunday or check out the podcasts. You will be better prepared to understand the meaning of the story and discuss it with friends or others who might have questions. And if they are interested in the series, invite them to our worship gathering on Sunday to find out more–and meet some really cool people!
And if you’re looking for a few questions to discuss what you have seen, check out our YouVersion event each week!
