Men: Live Second on February 21 (This Saturday)
The Men’s group meets this Saturday February 21) at 8am. We live in a world where men often strive to be #1–in sports, the workplace, in our hobbies and in everything we do. But there are times where being second is the best choice you can make. Meet us this Saturday at Deep Water’s worship space. We’ll make coffee then watch a short video and talk about faith and how it affects the way we live our lives. If you want breakfast, feel free to grab something before your come–it’s BYOB…Bring Your Own Breakfast!

Alpha: Is there More to Life than This?
Beginning on March 5, Deep Water Church will offer the Alpha Course.
The Alpha Course is a practical introduction to the Christian faith where the claims of Christ are presented & discussed in a relaxed & non-threatening environment by all those exploring faith, new to faith or interested in learning more about the basics even if they have been a part of the faith for a long time.
“The Alpha course is super laid back & it’s fun. You can just be yourself & be very honest…explore unanswered questions & then make an informed decision.” – Bear Grylls
The Alpha Course at Deep Water will take place over 10 thought-provoking weekly sessions. Each week will begin with coffee and snacks, followed by a short video talk and then a time to discuss what you’ve just heard. During the discussion, everyone is welcome to contribute their opinions and no question is considered off limits, too simple or too controverisial.

DATE CHANGE: When we announced the date for the Men’s group last week, I (Jeff) looked at the calendar wrong. As we always say, if you don’t like organized religion, try us–we’re not that organized! 😉 Anyway, considering the possible disunity that may occur in the home, it seemed like a bad idea to have a men’s group on Valentine’s Day. So, we decided to move it to the 3rd Saturday this month (February 21).

Multi-Church Lenten Season Night of Praise & Worship
Join other local churches from the IMA (Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance) as we celebrate the start of the Easter Season with a night of Gospel Music and Praise and Worship on February 18th at 7:00pm. With local ministries will be performing that night, including the Delaware State University Gospel choir performing, the style may be a bit different than our Sunday morning worship but a fun way to celebrate Jesus in unity with other churches.
The event will be held at Calvary Baptist Church on Fulton St. in Dover. I (Jeff) will be attending and may even wear a suit–something you don’t normally get to see unless you are getting married or pass away! 😉 Meet me there or follow me over from Deep Water’s parking lot if you need help finding it.
