Get to Know some People

Interested in getting to know some people? One of the best ways to get to know people is to get involved. We currently have many opportunities and new things come up all the time. Consider:

Greeting: We need people who can smile and make people feel welcome, especially first time guests. Since our entrance and parking area is not typical, greeting people at the front is essential. greeters are scheduled to greet once a month and typically get there about 20-25 minutes early on a Sunday morning.

Kids Church: Young kids are in a constant state of discovery; and we have the privilege of investing in them every week. Teams of two (a teacher and an assistant), rotate and teach once a month. We provide a curriculum that is fun and easy to adapt to your style.

Feeding Hungry People: We get donated food and feed the homeless and hungry throughout the week. You can join one of our regularly scheduled times or grab some food and do it yourself.

Worship Team: We’re always looking for new musicians and singers. Dust off the bass guitar, drum set, guitar, etc. and practice–and talk to us and we’ll direct you to the right person!

One of these sound interesting? None of these sound like the right fit? To talk more about these opportunities or other ones, contact Jeff or comment below to get started.

Feeding the Homeless on Tuesday Mornings

With the opening of the Day Center for the Dover Interfaith Homeless Shelter, there is now a place for homeless persons to go during the day. Since there are currently no feeding services open on Tuesdays, Deep Water has the opportunity to bring hot food for lunch to the Day Center.

To prepare, volunteers will need to heat food at 9:30am at Deep Water and we will transport it to the Day Center on Loockerman St. If you are interested in helping, and your schedule will allow it, please contact us or comment below.
