Socks & Long Underwear
Socks and long underwear? Most of us wouldn’t be excited to get that for Christmas, but there are many in our community that would be thrilled to get those gifts.
With the cold weather this time of year, being outside can be uncomfortable and living outside becomes extremely difficult. To help the homeless, we provide coats and sweatshirts that the people of Deep Water donate. Long underwear and warm socks are some of the most requested items. We need more socks and long underwear to help them.
If you have any or would like to donate money we’ll use to buy them, please drop them off on any Sunday. And if you forget on Sundays, contact us and we’ll arrange for another time for you to drop them off.
Ugly Christmas Sweater Sunday
Wear your ugliest, gaudiest, bedazzled, sparkle-fied, snow-covered, pine-needle decorated Christmas sweaters this Sunday, December 14. We’re talking jingle bells, lights, felt snowmen, reindeer, Santa hats. Show up early to be judged…er, uh…observed in all your Christmas glory and perhaps win bragging rights for the whole year!
Don’t let your friends and family miss out on Ugly Christmas Sweater Sunday! Invite them to our “ugliest” service yet! …and we promise there will be more than just ugly sweaters as we Anticipate Christmas!
Men, Be Second! BYOB
We live in a world where men often strive to be #1–in sports, the workplace, in our hobbies and in everything we do. But there are times where being second is the best choice you can make. Meet us this Saturday (December 13) at Deep Water’s worship space. We’ll make coffee then watch a short video and talk about faith and how it affects the way we live our lives. If you want breakfast, feel free to grab something before your come–it’s BYOB…Bring Your Own Breakfast!

Home for the Holiday Parade Rescheduled
The Home for the Holidays parade had to be cancelled last week due to weather and is RESHEDULED for THIS SATURDAY (December 14) from 12 noon – 2:00 pm. The parade route will begin at the corner of Water Street & Queen Street then head North on Queen Street then East on Loockerman Street and finish at Federal Street. Come out for some family fun in Downtown Dover and after the parade, hang around and shop the downtown merchants, many of whom have KILLER sales for the month of December.
Meeting for Parents of Kids in Youth Group this Sunday
Our youth ministry currently includes kids from 5th grade to high school. There will be a meeting for parents of kids in the youth group this Sunday (December 7) from 6-7pm. There will be a discussion on a missions trip, activities and fundraising for the youth involved in the youth ministry.
Please join us if your kids are a part of the youth group or you’re interested in getting involved. There will be some fun activities for the youth while we meet.
