Sleeping Bags

We currently need sleeping bags for some of the homeless. Some of them have dry places to sleep, but the nights are cold and the Code Purple shelters aren’t open every night. If you have one to donate, drop it off on Sunday or contact us to bring it by during the week. If you don’t have one, but want to donate money for us to buy some, simply mark donations as “sleeping bags” on Sundays.

Don’t forget the shoeboxes

We are taking part in something called Operation Christmas Child again this year.

Want to learn more, check out last week’s announcement.

Want to find out specifically out where your box goes? By making your donation online here using a credit or debit card you will receive a special shoe box label included in your e-mail receipt. Print or copy the label as many times as you need to attach to each of your boxes.

Please return the shoeboxes to us by this Sunday (November 23) and we’ll get them to the collection place.

Baptism Sunday

Baptism Nov 16We’re baptizing people this Sunday (November 16) during the main worship gathering. If you’re interested in being baptized, see me, contact me, sign up on Sunday with the connection card or comment below so we can be sure you get the most up to date information and let you know about any last minute changes. Of course, if you want to get baptized, you can always just show up wearing dark clothes and we’ll baptize you. It would probably be a good idea to bring a change of clothes too–unless you like wearing soggy clothes!

By the way, during the summer of 2013, one week’s sermon was about baptism. So if you’re not sure what baptism is all about, check out the podcast. And, of course, we’ll talk about it before we do it.

Operation Christmas Child

5743_Follow_your_box_social

We are taking part in something called Operation Christmas Child. People across the country will fill shoe boxes with small toys, school supplies, hygiene items and other gifts. With your $7 donation (placed inside the box), this Christmas season, a child overseas will receive your shoebox along with literature explaining the good news of Jesus in their language.

Want to pay online and find out specifically out where your box goes? By making your donation online here using a credit or debit card you will receive a special shoe box label included in your e-mail receipt. Print or copy the label as many times as you need to attach to each of your boxes.
