No, we’re not having another one this week! lol …well, at least we’re not planning on it yet, but we have a few people interested and can always work more in…

Grow Tip: Start a Bible Reading Plan on YouVersion
Two weeks ago, we started a short sermon series called Simple Actions and we talked about the word GROW. Putting our faith in Jesus begins a journey of faith. While God is the source the spiritual growth we experience, we have a responsibility to act in ways that help us grow. Without a plan to grow, most of us will never move forward in our faith.
Even when we want to grow, it can be difficult to know where to begin. To help you grow, here’s this week’s “GROW Tip“:
Tip: Start a Bible Reading Plan on YouVersion
Having a plan (and sticking to it!) is important for most big tasks in life–includingBible Reading. While reading the Bible can be a life-changing experience, getting started can be confusing. There are many plans available online, and one good place to find many are on YouVersion. YouVersion is a great Bible app for your iphone, ipad or android device–and also offers devotional material to focus reading in areas that you may want to grow. In fact, some of the reading plans/devotionals come with video helps. (Check out this one from Christian hip hop artist Lecrae.) Of course, you can review or discuss the sermon weekly thru live events each week or check out the group for Deep Water.
Deep Water Ladies NIght Out
The first Ladies Night out for Deep Water Church will be on Monday, September 16 at 7:00pm at Pat’s Pizza (on Route 8 in Dover). Join some of the women from Deep Water for a time of getting to know each other, encouragement, a devotion and pizza!

Group for Teens
Calling all 6th-12th graders! Guess what? Deep Water Church is ready to launch our first Youth Group Small Group, Deep Teens. We will be talking about how to understand our faith and live it out, how to overcome the trials of life and how we can all model Christ-likeness in everything we do.
The materials we are using coincides with an app called Bible Studies For Life. This app will allow you to see what we are talking about each week and spend time discovering it before you come to small group. Don’t have a smartphone? No problem! You can access the material in other ways!
So, are you excited to grow in your faith? Please join us on Tuesday evenings at 7:00pm at the home of the Slaters, beginning on Tuesday September 24. Hope to see you there!

Parent Cue for Sunday, September 15
Each week we supply a weekly Parent Cue and Kids God Time sheet.
- The Parent Cue is meant to be a resource for you to discuss and reinforce the lesson with your kids.
- The God Time is intended to help kids learn to spend some quiet time with God on their own. (Of course, you’re welcome to help them and model it for them as they learn!)
We’re posting the upcoming week’s material for the lesson that will be taught this Sunday. Additionally, we will provide a hardcopy of these on Sunday for those who may not prefer the digital versions.
