Parent Cue for Sunday, June 16
Each week we supply a weekly Parent Cue and Kids God Time sheet. The Parent Cue is meant to be a resource for you to discuss and reinforce the lesson with your kids. The Kids God Time is intended to help kids learn to spend some quiet time with God on their own. (Of course, you’re welcome to help them and model it for them as they learn!)
We’re posting the upcoming week’s material for the lesson that will be taught this Sunday. Additionally, we will provide a hardcopy of these on Sunday for those who may not prefer the digital versions. We’re still in the experimental stage trying to figure out what is best for everyone. So, if we find people do not take and use the hardcopies, we’ll go back to entirely digital to save some trees.
Our goal as a church is provide you with resources to help your children grow spiritually. We’re doing our best to make things simple and easy. Please feel free to give us feedback on this!

Mythsteries: Investigating Myths about God & the Bible
Even when we mean to live by what’s in the Bible, all of us have beliefs that creep into our understanding of what it means to follow Jesus that aren’t quite right–or can even be harmful or destructive. To get a clearer picture of who God is, we are exploring some of these.
Join us this week for the start of this summer series!
Baptism
As mentioned last week, several people attending Deep Water have expressed interest in baptism. We’ll explain more about baptism in the near future, but I am trying to get some feedback on planning the date, location, etc. If you are possibly interested in getting baptized and haven’t talked to me, please contact me or leave a comment below, so I can ask you a few questions as I plan. Thanks

Thursday Night Community Group Update
The Thursday night Community Group that meets at Deep Water’s building will be attending the Concert on The Green this week. So, it might be awkward if you decide to give it a try and find that no one’s there. In general, community groups meet regularly, but often have to modify their schedule because of member’s schedules. So, if you want to check out a group, it’s a good idea to send a message to the leader ahead of time to make sure it is meeting at the normal time.
What are community groups?
One of the ways to grow in your faith is to be connected in community with others. There are several groups that do this–and new groups are always forming. One group that meets weekly is the Thursday night group here at Deep Water’s building. Currently, we’re studying the major themes found in the Bible. Each week covers one theme. Come join us!
