Trunk or Treat – 2023

One of the ways we try to be good neighbors and connect with the neighborhood around us is to connect with our neighbors who are out Trick-or-Treating.
What is Trunk-or-Treat?
Volunteers decorate trunks, decorate/set up tables, and hand out candy to kids. Please contact us or sign up on Sunday to volunteer your trunk!
Have someone you’ve been inviting to church?
Invite them to Trunk-or-Treat with you in Wyoming or ask them to help you decorate your trunk. They’ll find out we’re not as scary as they might think! And maybe they will join you next time you invite them!
Want to contribute but can’t come?
We need candy! If you’re interested in donating candy for those decorating their trunks or tables, bring it to Deep Water at any time! But please buy the good stuff–we don’t want to hand out cheap stuff as we represent Jesus!
Baptism this Sunday (September 17, 2023)

Jesus said “Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:19-20, NLT).”
Baptism is a step of obedience where we identify with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection.
We’re planning a baptism this Sunday (September 17) at 2:00pm at the Hamilton’s house. If you’re interested in being baptized, contact us, comment below–or just show up ready to get wet!
Also, since baptism is symbolic of joining the family of faith, come and hang out with your faith fam! Celebrate with us! Bring some sacks to share and stay to fellowship and/or swim afterward!
And, if you want to know more of what baptism is all about, check out the sermon on Facebook from this week which is about baptism–or ask Jeff on Sunday!
Small Groups
We have been doing some things to prep for the Fall. Small groups meet regularly to GATHER, GROW and ENGAGE—the three things we want each person to do as a follower of Jesus. We believe that small groups are a vital part of our church’s mission––providing a warm and welcoming environment where individuals can develop deep relationships and grow in their relationship with God.

Summer BBQ this Sunday (July 30)
After our regular Sunday gathering this week (July 30), we will BBQ! This BBQ provides the ideal setting for connecting with old friends and making new friends. And, t’s a great opportunity to bring a friend to church where they can connect in a relaxed way!
Our talented chefs will grill to satisfy everyone’s taste buds. We also encourage everyone to bring their favorite side dishes, salads, desserts, or drinks to share.
In case of inclement weather, the event will be moved to the Fellowship Hall.
We hope that you will join us! We’re looking forward to seeing you there!
Peach Festival & National Night Out
Reminder:
The Wyoming Peach Festival is on Saturday, August 5 – right outside our front doors! We developed some peach-themed carnival games for folks as they come by the building during the festival. We need help hosting the games as we engage members of the community.
We’ve been asked to do balloon animals and some face-painting at the National Night Out event with the police (the evening of Tuesday, August 22). If you can make it and want to help, we will gladly teach you a popular yet simple balloon item that can be learned in 1 minute that night–or some more complex creations. And if you can face paint, we’ll provide the supplies.
There will be a sign-up sheet in the foyer on Sundays if you want to sign up to help – or connect with us online and we’ll sign you up!
