Trunk or Treat in Wyoming
We’re gearing up for our Trunk-or-Treat event on Monday, October 31. It’s one of the ways we try to be good neighbors and connect with the neighborhood around us. We will need volunteers to decorate trunks, decorate/set up tables, and hand out candy to kids. Please contact us or sign up on Sunday to volunteer your trunk!
Have someone you’ve been inviting to church? Invite them to Trunk-or-Treat with you in Wyoming or ask them to help you decorate your trunk. They’ll find out we’re not as scary as they might think!

And, as usual, if you’re interested in donating candy for those decorating their trunks or tables, bring it to Deep Water at any time! But please buy the good stuff–we don’t want to hand out cheap stuff as we represent Jesus!

Pastor Appreciation Potluck
October is Pastor Appreciation Month. Instead of our regular 5th Sunday potluck, we plan to celebrate pastor appreciation month with a potluck this year on Sunday, October 30 after our normal 10:00 am worship gathering.
There is a box in the sanctuary lobby (near the coffee ☕️) if you want to leave a card or note of appreciation for Pastor Jeff and Denise.

Wyoming Block Party & Clown College this week!
Deep Water Church is volunteering at the Wyoming Block Party on Saturday, September 17 from 5:00-8:00 pm. We will teach the basics of how to tie balloon animals this Sunday, September 11 after the 10:00 am worship gathering. If you can’t make it and want to help, we will gladly teach you a popular yet simple balloon item that can be learned in 1 minute that night.

Code Purple Firefly Cleanup for the Community 2022

What is the Firefly Project?
We work to help the homeless in the greater Dover area and love partnering with other organizations that serve the homeless and others in need. Several years ago we began to work with the organizers of Firefly to collect many of the items left behind after the festival that can be useful to the homeless, and to facilitate donations to places like the Food Bank. (Check out an older article on it with some great pictures here.)
