Small Groups in the Fall

We’re updating our list of small groups. We value small groups that connect throughout the week so we can learn to live out our faith; but during the Covid years, many of the groups stopped meeting. We’re hoping to add to the number this fall––including some that don’t meet as frequently but target things like marriage issues.

…if you’re interested in leading a group, talk to me (Jeff) on a Sunday, contact me or comment below. I’ll help guide you through the process of getting started.

Code Purple Firefly Cleanup for the Community 2022

The Firefly Project is scheduled for Monday, September 26.

What is the Firefly Project?
We work to help the homeless in the greater Dover area and love partnering with other organizations that serve the homeless and others in need. Several years ago we began to work with the organizers of Firefly to collect many of the items left behind after the festival that can be useful to the homeless, and to facilitate donations to places like the Food Bank. (Check out an older article on it with some great pictures here.)

To make this work, we need volunteers from multiple churches and organizations to help us collect and process these items. To sign up, fill out the form here.

If your business is interested in donating services, supporting the project financially, or sending volunteers, let us know! We have local companies donating trucks, laundering donated goods, etc.

If you’re interested in sponsorship, go to the Firefly Project on the Code Purple website.

Wyoming Peach Festival 2022

The Wyoming Peach Festival is this week, Saturday, August 6–right outside our front doors!

It’s a great opportunity to meet people and invite them to join us on Sundays. And it’s also a great opportunity to bring a friend to check us out in a relaxed, informal way.

We developed some peach-themed carnival games for folks as they come by the building during the festival. And we need help hosting the games as we engage members of the community. If you want to help––connect with us online and we’ll sign you up! And if your schedule allows it last minute, just come join us!
