Trunk or Treat 2020
The town of Wyoming has decided to allow Trick-or-Treating this year. So, we’re gearing up for our Trunk-or-Treat event on Saturday, October 31. We have some preliminary plans and will need volunteers to decorate trunks, decorate/set up tables, and hand out candy to kids…in a socially distanced way…
Please contact Deep Water or sign up on Sunday to volunteer your trunk!
And, as usual, if you’re interested in donating candy for those decorating their trunks or tables, bring the candy to Deep Water at any time! But please buy the good stuff–we don’t want to hand out cheap stuff as we represent Jesus!
Pastor Appreciation BBQ
October is Pastor Appreciation Month. As announced earlier, the Church Board has planned a BBQ/potluck dinner this Sunday (October 4) at a nearby house. Come out and enjoy some socially-distanced fellowship! 😉
Please see Bob and Gina Hamilton for more information and directions – or contact us.
Deep Water Online – July 26
Join us in person or online each week!
As a reminder, we are meeting in person on Sundays but with some social distancing requirements. All persons attending MUST wear masks. (There are exceptions for singers on the stage and the pastor when preaching.) Due to restrictions and health guidelines, we aren’t allowed to offer kids church or nursery at this time. We have the ‘😢 cry room’ available for families with small kids who need it though.
Can’t join us in person? Join us online:
The services (including musical worship, preaching, etc.) are broadcast live at 10:00 am on Facebook and posted afterward to our YouTube channel. (The service video will remain on Deep Water’s Facebook Video Tab for your convenience.)
Since not everyone has Facebook, we added a page to the website that allows anyone to watch without Facebook. The live service can be accessed here. If you have any issue watching on that page, let us know. We’re doing the best we can to adapt to current circumstances.
Masks for the Homeless during Covid-19
We spend considerable effort helping those in the Dover area who are homeless or financially challenged. With current restrictions about entering stores, etc. while wearing masks, many of the homeless and marginally homed (OK, I’m not sure this is a real phrase, but it’s meant to describe those who are intermittently homeless and in financial need) need are in need of disposable and reusable masks.
So, once again, we’re looking for donations of both disposable and reusable masks for the homeless and financially challenged in the downtown area.
Contact us if you want to help!
