Wyoming PD’s National Night Out and Clown College
Reminder: The National Night Out event with the Wyoming Police Department (Wyoming is doing it a little later than some others this year) is coming up on Tuesday, August 27 from 6 – 8 pm. If you have kids, it’s a fun evening at Wyoming Park (a few blocks away from our building). Come out and bring a friend!
If you want to help with face painting and balloon animals, we will teach you how and give you some time to practice on Sunday, August 25 after our 10:00 am worship gathering. If you can’t make it to the practice and want to help, we will gladly teach you a popular yet simple balloon item that can be learned in less than 1 minute that night.
Contact us or let us know by signing up on Sunday if you can help.
Discipleship and Small Groups
We’re nearing the end of August and preparing for the Fall. One of the ways we connect is through small groups. Small groups meet regularly to GATHER, GROW and ENGAGE—the three things we want each person to do as a follower of Jesus. Small groups are an integral part of our church’s mission, providing a warm and welcoming environment where individuals can develop deep relationships and grow in their relationship with God.
Small group leaders play a vital role in facilitating the meaningful connections in small groups––and creating spaces for fellowship, study, and prayer. If you have a heart for nurturing others, a desire to serve, and a willingness to guide discussions, we encourage you to prayerfully consider becoming a small group leader. We are actively seeking people who are passionate about building connections, fostering spiritual growth, and supporting fellow believers on their faith journey.
To have more groups, we need more leaders. If you’re interested in exploring the opportunity to lead a group or disciple people, talk to me on a Sunday, contact me, or comment below. Training and resources will be provided to equip you for this important ministry. We’ll help guide you through the process of getting started.
Subscribe to us on YouTube
Many people use Facebook and have access to our sermon videos. These are generally posted in the first few days of the week after Sunday. However, many people are not on Facebook or find the video feature less convenient than YouTube.
For your convenience, sermons are uploaded to our YouTube Channel. Check it out and let us know if this is helpful for catching up on a series, replaying one for things you missed or sharing with others.
Clown College – Sunday, August 18
In preparation for doing balloon animals and face painting at the National Night Out event with the police (Wyoming is doing it a little later than some others this year: Tuesday, August 27 from 6 – 8 pm), we will teach you how to make balloon animals on Sunday, August 18 and 25 after our 10:00 am worship gathering. If you’d like to try face painting, we’d love to have you stay after a few minutes also.
If you can’t make it and want to help, we will gladly teach you a popular yet simple balloon item that can be learned in 1 minute that night.
Contact us or let us know by signing up on Sunday if you can help.
This week: Wyoming Peach Festival
The Wyoming Peach Festival is this Saturday (August 3) – right outside our front doors! We built new carnival games! If you can come, we need help running games. Message us to get on the schedule!
Since we’ll be right outside our building, it is a great opportunity to meet people and invite them to join us on Sundays. And it’s also a great opportunity to bring a friend to check us out in a relaxed, informal way — especially if they have kids who might like the games!
Check out the Wyoming Peach Festival Facebook event for more details on the festival itself!
