Upcoming Events
The Wyoming Peach Festival is on Saturday, August 3 – right outside our front doors! Since we’ll be right outside our building, it is a great opportunity to meet people and invite them to join us on Sundays. And it’s also a great opportunity to bring a friend to check us out in a relaxed, informal way.
National Night Out is on Tuesday, August 27. We will volunteer with the Wyoming Police from 6:00-8:00 pm right around the corner at Wyoming Park. We’ll be face-painting and tying balloon animals. We need help doing both. Don’t worry, we’ll have clown college beforehand to learn!
Look for more details in the future or contact Jeff for more details!
5th Sunday Potluck/BBQ
Community is a big part of who we are at Deep Water. We serve the community––and we’re in community together as we grow in our faith. Every time a month has 5 Sundays instead of the typical 4, we have a potluck fellowship meal and call it “5th Sunday Fellowship.”
On Sunday, June 30, we’ll enjoy fellowship and a BBQ immediately after our regular worship gathering. Please bring a dish to share if you are able. There is a list in the foyer on Sundays if you want to try to coordinate with others.
Not sure what to bring? Contact us to see what might be needed.
Wyoming Peach Festival 2024
SAVE THE DATE: The Wyoming Peach Festival is on Saturday, August 3 – right outside our front doors! Since we’ll be right outside our building, it is a great opportunity to meet people and invite them to join us on Sundays. And it’s also a great opportunity to bring a friend to check us out in a relaxed, informal way.
We developed some peach-themed carnival games for folks as they come by the building during the festival. We need help hosting the games as we engage members of the community.
Questions? A little off? Out of context?
Have a question about a Bible passage? Ever hear someone use a Bible verse or talk about God and thought something didn’t seem right and find yourself asking, “Does that verse really mean that?” Do you find yourself repeating a verse or saying because you’ve heard it, but aren’t really sure if it’s in the Bible or really true about God?
Now’s your chance to ask the question and maybe even get an answer. Let us know by clicking on this link and responding!
A Fellowship of Differents — Book Discussion Group
There is one more chance to join us for our Christian Book Discussion Group as we dive into “A Fellowship of Differents.” This book explores the concept of Christian community, emphasizing the beauty and necessity of diversity within the Church. The author argues that unity in the body of Christ does not mean uniformity, but rather celebrates the unique gifts, backgrounds, and perspectives of each member. Through biblical examples and practical insights, the book challenges readers to embrace and celebrate the rich tapestry of differences that make up the fellowship of believers.
All are welcome––but definitely try to read or listen to the book (Parts 4-6) before you come! Remember, you can buy the book or download the ebook to read for free from the Delaware Library system. Our final meeting is on Tuesday night, May 28.
For more information or to make sure you get followup information on the meeting times, contact us or see Jeff on Sunday!
