We’re Reopening after COVID-19 this Sunday
If you didn’t hear it on Sunday during the opening announcements for the online service, we will be opening up this Sunday in a limited capacity. We will also be required to practice social distancing. All persons attending MUST wear masks. (There are exceptions for singers on the stage and the pastor when preaching.)
Also, for the next two weeks, we will have a reservation system to reserve a spot. This may seem weird, but it prevents people from coming and being turned away because we are at our capacity with social distancing rules. To reserve a spot, click here.
We will continue to broadcast live at 10:00 am (assuming all goes well with our live stream). And the service will be available to stream later at your convenience.
Looking forward to seeing those who can come this week!
Gathering in Person after Covid-19 Survey
“Social distancing”, “toilet paper hoarding”, “shelter in place”, “the new normal”… we’ve all heard and maybe learned a few new phrases recently. The last few months have been challenging for Americans and the rest of the world. We’ve had to forgo meeting together in order to slow the spread of a potentially deadly virus, although, we have met online. However, it appears that we may be able to meet soon. Please take a minute to let us know your thoughts on reopening and online services. The responses we receive will shape our next steps. Feel free to leave your name or do this anonymously.
Take the survey here.
In Memory of Ravi Zacharias (1946-2020)
Ravi Zacharias passed away this week after a battle with cancer. While some may not know his work, he was known for his intelligence and eloquence. His work focused on apologetic arguments for the existence of God and the reasonableness of Christianity. Many at Deep Water loved his works.
If you want to check out his work, log in to Right Now and go to his page. There’s probably enough cool material to get you through a nice chunk of the quarantine! And if you need a log in to Right Now, contact us!
Church Online…but hoping to open soon!
Some restrictions are lifting but we are still only allowed to broadcast on Deep Water’s Facebook Page, YouTube Channel, and at our online home for the time being. Please watch your email and/or social media. As restrictions lift, we look forward to meeting together safely!
If you haven’t already (or plan to this week), please join us for church online, Sundays at 10:00 am. The service goes “live” in all three places––including music with our worship team.
Feel free to comment on the Facebook page for interaction or use the chat feature on the online church home. And we will post a zoom link in the Facebook group–or contact us and we’ll send you the link. (To avoid issues some other churches and organizations have had, we are choosing to keep the link private until close to when it goes live.)
Also, we’d love to pray and connect with you during this time. And, of course, feel free to share needs and requests in the Facebook Group.
We look forward to seeing you this week!
Remember to love and serve those around you––while practicing social distancing. And please contact us for physical needs and prayer!
