Men’s Breakfast: Saturday, February 29

Most Saturdays, some of the men meet at the church building from 8-9:30 am to talk and become better disciples. We occasionally have other commitments, so to keep up to date with the men’s group, join the Facebook Group or contact Jeff or John Rundle for more information.

We are currently starting the Book of Job. We’re meeting this Saturday, February 29. If you’re a guy, please join us for breakfast and great conversation! Hope to see you there!

Feeling left out because you are female? You can go to the Ladies’ Facebook group to keep up with any events targeted to women including the upcoming event, the IF:Gathering.

Baptism this Sunday (February 23)

Jesus said “Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:19-20, NLT).”

Baptism is a step of obedience where we identify with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection.

We’re planning a baptism this Sunday (February 23). If you’re interested in being baptized, contact us, comment below–or just show up ready to get wet.

And, if you want to know more of what baptism is all about, check out the sermon podcast from this week which is about baptism–or ask Jeff on Sunday!

Come Study the Book of John

We’re currently studying in the Book of John using material from Tony Evans. (Check out the trailer above.) It’s a great opportunity to grow in your faith and connect with people at Deep Water.

In this study of the Gospel of John, Dr. Tony Evans encourages us to turn to Christ by reminding us of the two purposes for the beloved disciple’s book—that we would believe in Jesus and find life in his name. It is a great companion to the Sunday morning sermon series on 1, 2 and 3 John.
Some prefer to join us at 6:30 when the Bible study begins. Just swing in and grab a seat. Most people are done dinner by about 6:15. We ask for a $3 donation per person to cover the cost of the food. Please join us for a great time connecting with others and growing in your faith!
If you use Facebook and want to keep up to date, follow along in the Thursday Night Bible Study Group.
Want to follow along or catch up when you can’t make it? Login into Right Now. We’re currently planning on finishing the third lesson this week, covering John 2:13-25.
