Sign up to Help at the Yard Sale

On Saturday, September 28th from 7:00 am – 2:00 pm, in conjunction with the Town of Wyoming’s annual yard sale, Deep Water will be holding a rummage sale to raise money towards the Building Fund. If you would like to sign up to help on that day or ahead of time, we need volunteers to pick up items ahead of time, move items out on the day of the sale, price things and work during the sale in order to make this sale as smooth and successful as possible; so please contact us if you are interested––or sign up in the back on Sunday!

If you have things that you need to clear out of your house, please consider donating items for the sale. We are accepting donations up until Thursday, September 26. Items may be dropped off on Sundays or Thursdays downstairs, across from the Kids Church room. Please contact us (or Erin directly) if you need to arrange a drop-off on a day other than Sunday––or if you require help getting things to the church.

Men’s Breakfast

Most Saturdays, some of the men meet at the church building from 7-8:30 am to talk and become better disciples. We are starting a new topic (the Book of James) this Saturday, September 7. Hope to see you there!

Want to keep up to date with the men’s group? Join the Facebook GroupContact us or John Rundle for more information.

Feeling left out because you are female? You can go to the Ladies’ Facebook group to keep up with any events targeted to women.

Feed this Saturday at Salvation Army

A group from Deep Water Church feeds the hungry at the Salvation Army every month. Volunteers donate and prepare the food for 40-50 people and then serve it at the Salvation Army. We need a little extra help this week on Saturday, September 7.

The Salvation Army building is located in downtown Dover at 611 Forrest St. (Loockerman St. becomes Forrest St. when it bends right before intersecting with Route 8/Forrest Ave.) Click here for a map.

If you are interested, please contact us (or Joy directly) and we’ll connect you with this opportunity to serve!

Dinner and a Bible Study Starts Next Week

We want to help you grow in your faith and meet some great people. We’re about to end our summer break and will be moving to Thursday nights in September, starting on September 12th. We’ll be studying Titus–a small book in the New Testament–to start off the year.

How does it work?
We have rotating teams of people cook dinner for those who want to come here straight after work or don’t have time to make dinner. We ask for a $3 donation per person to cover the cost of the food. Some prefer to join us at 6:30 when the Bible study begins.

If you use Facebook and want to keep up to date, follow along in the Thursday Night Bible Study Group.

Kitchen Cleanup

With the Dinner and Bible Study starting next week, we need to do a few things to get ready. This Thursday Night (September 5), some of us will be getting together to wash, power-wash, straighten and get the kitchen ready to serve for the year.

If you like cleaning, organizing, power-washing or just helping out, join us! You can come in during the regularly scheduled time or do tasks at your convenience.

Contact us or talk to Jeff for more details.
