Code Purple Firefly Cleanup for the Community 2019
As many of you know, we work to help the homeless in the greater Dover area and love partnering with other organizations that serve the homeless and others in need. Three years ago, we began to work with the people who put on Firefly to collect many of the items left behind after the festival that can be useful to the homeless and facilitate donations to places like the Food Bank. (Check out an article on it with some great pictures here.)
To make this project run smoothly, we need volunteers to help us collect and process materials donated and left behind after Firefly on Monday, June 24. All the things collected go to Code Purple in Kent and Sussex County.
To sign up, you can go here or sign up on Sunday morning. Also, if your business might be interested in donating services or sending volunteers, let us know! We have local businesses donating trucks, laundering donated goods, etc. For business sponsor info, click here: Code Purple Firefly Project Sponsorship 2019.
Marriage Night Simulcast Event 2019

Healthy marriages don’t happen by accident. They require work and dedication, but with the busyness of life and the pressures of culture it’s easy to lose focus. What is marriage supposed to look like when those initial bursts of excitement give way to everyday troubles and routines? Marriage Night is an event that will provide you with expert teaching and principles for a lasting relationship while challenging you to see the greater purpose of marriage—to glorify God and advance his gospel. Marriage is made for more than fairy tale ending. It’s a picture of God’s hope and redemption for a world in need of rescue.
On May 17, 2019, join thousands of people from around the world for a one-night simulcast event; and hear from Francis and Lisa Chan (You and Me Forever), Les and Leslie Parrott (The Good Fight), and comedian Michael Jr. as you laugh and learn with your spouse.
We will meet at 7:00 pm for dinner at Deep Water. The simulcast will begin at 8:00 pm and continue to 11:00 pm. Childcare is available. Childcare and dinner are included, but all couples must register thru Right Now at this link. Invite your friends, family, co-workers, and neighbors to attend this one-night event.
