Press release:

DOVER, DE – Downtown Dover Partnership in collaboration with the Downtown Dover Merchants  announces a free “Trunk or Treat Parade Party” scheduled for Friday, October 24 2014 from 5:00pm to 7:30pm to take place in the Downtown Dover Business District.  “The “Trunk or Treat” event offers a variety of exciting activities for kids and youth of all ages,”  said Erin Cooper Barrett, event co-chair. Activities will include a Children’s Costume Parade, live music, bounce house, face painting, costume contest and free hot dogs. Free candy will be distributed from decorated vehicles and downtown Dover merchants during the parade. Children and accompanying adults will have the opportunity to partake in a free fun family event bringing the community together to celebrate the fall,” said Damon Cinaglia, event co-chair.

As a downtown church, we want to be a part of the things that happen downtown. It’s a way to serve the community and connect with people who might be interested in our church. We are looking for volunteers to:

  • Decorate and hand out candy from their trunks
  • Make balloon animals (I will be available for clown college after the worship service this week)
  • Run fun Kid Games at our booth on the Loockerman Way Green Space (open space with benches near the church–not “The Green or Legislative Mall)
  • Give us Candy Donations to hand out from trunks or the Deep Water Booth.

Not sure what, we mean by “Trunk-Or-Treat”? Check out these fun examples:
